Shandy Family Construction is owned and operated by Scott Shandy and his two sons Derek and Alec. Together we have forty years of experience in the field. We have an extensive background in carpentry and structural design, This enables us to change they layout of your house easily and quickly, not relying on other sub contractors. Being a smaller company compared to many of the remodeling giants in the Kansas City area, you do not have to worry about the massive mark ups. Such as company trucks, warehouses, and office space. Our Process
The most important step is defining exactly what the homeowner wants to change and accomplish with a renovation. Once that is clearly outlined, we can start the actual project and is detailed below.
Preconstruction Design
Some remodeling is purely cosmetic, however some will require prints, plans, and engineering. This will be required to be submitted to your city and ensures everything is constructed to the most recent codes.
Design & Construction Estimate
The estimate will be the first thing discussed, and will determine the budget for the project. Design elements are key here and greatly effect the price. This includes materials such as flooring, cabinets, and fixtures
On-Site Consultations
We meet with homeowners on every step of the project. Starting with demolition, and moving all the way to the final clean up. We involve the homeowners to make sure you get your dream home.
The Finishing
Touches
After rough in, which is the framing, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, comes the fun part. This is where the homeowners really start to personalize the project. From paint and stain colors, lighting, counter tops, and everything in between, the project becomes your new home.
